I'd be curious to know the effect of these at much higher speeds.  Around
here I-280 has a very high ambient speed (typically >75 MPH ), and it is
fairly prone to deer.  Does the pitch vary?  Does the soft one become
louder?  How far away can it be heard?

Granted that doesn't take care of the question, "what the f*** is it going
to do when it hears it?"
