Ahhh technology - love it, especially when combined with biking ....... :-)

The US FRS is very similar to the European PMR446 standard.

It interfaces very well with Autocom

Will probably make absolutely zero difference to bike to bike use.  Line of
sight is line of sight however many watts you throw at it.  I have happily got
1.5 miles with a 1/2 watt setup yet if there are buildings in the way can't
hear a thing at 200 yds.  With most bike to bike use the person with whom you
wish to communicate is normally less than 100yds away and visible.
