You have definitely never been on this road during tourist season or most
weekends. How about a hundred or two RVs in both directions cruising at 1/2
the posted speed, and add a few cars in between. Bumper to bumper is a
conservative description, and if they see you attempt to pass, they close
the gap.

Riding skills have nothing to do with passing on this road; several times
I've been stuck on the yellow line praying for a gap to duck into. On the
"Million Dollar Hiway", squeezing the tank with your knees and keeping your
elbows tight in is the only skill needed for a pass.
