RE: [ST] Official Results HP/Torque

That's WAY too low! And it definitely NOT common. However, that depends upon
what kind of dynomometer it was. If it was a Dynojet, it's low. If it was an
eddy-current type, it may be low against the Dynojet machines but there
still shouldn't be THAT much differential.

I have a 2000 RS, also with the Triumph CF pipe and tune for it. When I ran
the stock pipe and tune, I had a dyno run on an older Dynojet 150. It was
just a RWHP run, no torque readings, and it put out 94.3HP. This past May, I
ran the the bike with the pipe on a near-new Dynojet 200, and it put out
90.7HP. Needless to say, I was also disappointed, but everyone running that
day (47 differnet bikes at a "Dyno Day" event I organized for Sportriders of
New England at New England Motorsports) complained of the same problem.

You just might want to run it on a different dyno to be sure. If you get
similar results, good luck with that battle at your dealer.

I know I am responding to a old post but its been a
while since I have checked my mail.
I just had my 00 RS dyno'd and was extremly
dissapointed. 79 hp 55 ft/lbs max I have the Triumph
carbon fibre w/ tune installed. I called my dealer
and he said this in not uncommon. What do you all
have to say about this. If there is something wrong I
would like to head it off before spring is over and my
warranty is gone.
Let me know what you think......<
