I used to do a similar commute on my ST (Courthouse to 20th & M) until
it'd snow. I wore (and still wear) an Aerostitch Darien (two-piece) with
the standard fleece liner. Worked like a charm. Only had one instance of
leaking, and that was at the crotch after driving for an hour in an
thunderstorm during rush hour. (A touch of seam seal fixed it easily.)
Why the Darien? A little looser cut, which let me comfortably wear the
obligitory suit-and-tie underneath. (Now that I live in California,
though, my suits and ties just gather dust.)
You'll be able to squeeze a liner (heated or not) underneath any cordura
suit more comfortably than with a leather suit (assuming proper fit for
both). And, it's tough to get a waterproof set of leathers. :-)
