Re: [ST] Gear ratios year to year

Speaking of gearing, I have a question. Is the stock chain long enough to
reach around a back sprocket that is two teeth larger than stock? Three
teeth?

My 2002 ST has very tall gearing. My local shop tells me that a Triumph 18t
countershaft sprocket is over $90.00. I have never had good luck with
aftermarket countershaft sprockets and I want the rubber damper anyway.
Since my usual method of gearing down is by changing the back sprocket
anyway, that is the next option.

So who has changed back sprockets and how much room do I have with the stock
chain?

Thanks
