Re: [ST] 02 vs 03 ST and pricing?

Hey!!! Stuart, welcome back! Seen the light, eh? :]

There are some really good deals out there on Sprints, a bane to those that
want to sell, but hey, the buyer benefit. Don't understand the low resale,
other than it's a smaller brand, less well known and the dealer network
leaves something to be desired in some parts of the country (Texas is
blessed somewhat). Reliability is as good as any of the Japanese brands.

But to your question. You can find 00-01's in the 6-7K range, sometimes
even less. Hardbags don't really jack the value up all that much, certainly
not 1-1.5K, so if you can find one with bags (assuming you want them), you
should be able to stay under 7K, if you shop around.

I totaled my 1st '00-ST (30K miles), waited around about 6 months and found
another '00-ST with """3K!!!""" miles for, ahhhhh, well, very, very cheap,
lower than the range above, very motivated seller. Didn't have hard bags,
but I haven't really missed them so far.

Hello, I am an ex-ST owner that was stupid enough to sell my'99, and now I
have seen the light. I am thinking about scoring another one (you never know
what you got til it's gone). What qualifies as a smokin' deal on a brand new
ST?

Thanks
Stuart Mumford

PS Ducati Monsters aren't Sprint ST's
