As you will know from a previous e-mail, Triumph Motorcycles limited has
funded a team in the British Superbikes (BSB) Supersport Championship. The
team is called Triumph Valmoto and their website is www.triumphvalmoto.com
The team are using the new Triumph Daytona 600's.

The riders are Jim Moodie - double British Supersport Champion and TT
winner, and Craig Jones - Junior Superstock Champion.

Their first ever outing at Silverstone produced a top 10 finish (9th) by
Craig Jones.

Their second outing was at Snetterton this weekend gone. I was there
helping a friend in the Superbike event. I didn't miss the Supersport race!

The Triumph Daytona 600's and their riders were on form and improving with
an excellent 7th (Craig Jones) and 8th (Jim Moodie) in the race. They
looked stunningly fast. I have the timesheets in front of me now and from
the
Qualifying and Race details the Triumph Daytona 600's seem to be a second
(time) a lap slower than the best Honda and Ducati. It's early days for the
team and the Triumph's, so it's looking promising......................
