I see you are interested in the AV 45- 46,
I have a set on "Kermit" the rear has near 4000 miles the front 5000.
no sign of cupping on the front and I feel it could go another 3000 easy.
I feel the rear has another 3-4000 left.
I could only get about 4000 rear on the older Avons
I feel the grip is as good or better.
My only gripe is that Avon doesn't make a specific tire to fit the 4.5 inch 
rim which they did before.  The narrow rim tends to pinch the tire in at the 
bead causing the arc of the tire to be to tight.  
This would not be a problem on the St with the fatter rim.
