Re: [ST] August 2003 Issue of Motorcyclist, what gives?

Let's see....

Weighs less that Sprint? Dry-> No according to
Motorcyclist Magazine
MPG? No 39.7 vs. 46.4 MCN
Rear Wheel HP? No, 93.9 vs. 98.1 MCN
Rear Wheel TRQ? Yes, 62.2 vs. 61.2 MCN
Top Speed? Yes, but who does 150mph regularly? :p
0-60? Equal, 3.24 MCN
0-100? No, 7.62 vs. 7.45 MCN
1/4 Mile? No, 11.04 vs. 11.03 (says MCN, but
Motorcyclist says otherwise so go figure)
Braking 60-0? No, 113.2 vs. 111.8 MCN
Price w/ hardbags? No, 12,999 vs. 9999
Torque/HP Curve? No,

These charts may have not been done on the same dynos
or in same conditions, but decide for yourself. ;)

Both are nice bikes, but I see a clear winner if u go
by the facts. Styling and whatnot is a personal
thing.
