Matt,

If you had an oil leak from the countershaft sprocket seal on a new ST,
chances are very good that it was caused by a CHAIN THAT IS ADJUSTED WAY TOO
TIGHT.  This is a very common problem -- most mechanics insist on over
tightening them, as they are NOT that familiar with the correct procedure
for a SSSA.  What is the correct procedure you ask?  I would recommend that
you look it up in either your owner's manual or a factory service manual --
I wish more mechanics would do the same.

... and if they didn't figure out that this was the actual source of the
problem, you can probably look forward to having the seal replaced again at
some point in the not-too-distant future.
