RE: [ST] ama

I'm going to have to state the obvious too. The AMA has made a LOT of gross
errors with their racing management. Those mistakes have cost the membership
millions of dollars and thousands of members, but walking away from the org
won't solve it. We have to stay in there, and continue to exercise our
rights in the org by casting votes for people who will foster CHANGE.

We now have members on the Board who are racers, ones who have first-hand
and high level experience with the misdeeds of AMA as a promoter. John
Ulrich is still very active in racing, and has expressed the voice of the
racer in board meetings. I believe Jeffery Nash and Davey Coombs also have
held racing licenses, but not certain.

As far as I know, the AMA has never faultered on their legislative lobby for
us. The org represents our interests with quick responses to threats against
our freedoms. The AMA has been proactive and aggressive with their action;
the "Rapid Response" and "State Watch" links on the website help enormously.
The AMA, like any worthwhile democracy, can be controlled by more members
staying informed and using their power of VOTE. Join NOW.
