[ST] Re: st-digest V2002 #820

RE: still have my ST :) but it seems to have suffered the
humiliating fate of springing a small leak in the radiator :(
I have basically lost all confidence in riding it long-distance, as I dont
want
to end up stranded somewhere with a wet foot and warped head (engine and my
own!).

Are you sure the leak is actually from the radiator itself? I (and a few
others) had a small coolant leak which was fixed simply by tightening the
hose clamps, which were woefully loose. One clamp was entirely worthless
and needed replacement.
If the leak is indeed from the radiator, it sounds so small that it may be
worth trying Barr's stop-leak. Otherwise, car radiator shops are very
adept at fixing cracks for very reasonable prices. Certainly, it would
appear that getting rid of the bike is premature
Good luck,
Paul.
