A friend has one of these in his Guzzi V-11 Sport.  The taillight
is *very* noticable [to the point of distraction] even in
daylight.  The flashing brakelight is an instant attention
getter.

Here's one source of informaton:

. . . which has this note "For best results, LED lamp output
color should be same as Lens/ Filter color above the lamp".  They
have a motorcycle-specific application which throws a white light
from around the lamp's base for license plate illumination.
