[ST] ST suspension upgrades

Thanks for that Howard, i'm about 5 hours from my Triumph dealer who are
very good, i'll be heading down there next week for the 20K service and new
chain/sprockets. I'll quiz them on the Racetech mod to see if they can fit
'em, i'm not sure i can figure out the springs by myself and get it
accurate. With the Ohlins rear, is there any of this spring rate stuff
involved or is it "one size fits all"? I've already got the BT010 / BT020
setup on the bike, the 020 on the rear has done approx 8000kms and is
finally worn out, they are an improvement on the BT56s? that were fitted
before. Thats part of the attraction i have for this bike, easy on tyres,
easy on fuel, easy on my butt and the pillions, easy on insurance and above
all, easy on the eye!!
Regards
Bill Wilkin

Upgrades make the suspension like it SHOULD be.
Racetech mods are fully adjustable and make the front end as smooth and as
stiff as you want it to be. You select the set of springs that reflect your
weight w/ riding gear and accessories. Gold Valve Emulators can be set for
as much compression AND rebound damping as you want. Steers like its 'on a
rail'. Pick your line, lean and roll on the power. This is THE BEST
investment I have made for an upgrade in my almost 25 years of two-wheeling.
The motorcycle simply does whatever you want it to with no problems. The
trick is to be able to accurately assess what you want your steering to be
when you're finished. I went to a Racetech trained mechanic who specialises
in these mods and does them every day. He went over my riding style, where
and in what conditions I ride, my weight, weight of my riding gear,
panniers, and accessories. I was in and out in three hours flat.
Couple the Racetech upgrade with a set of great tyres (Pirelli GTS Dragons,
BT 010's or 020's for instance) and you'll think you died and went to
heaven. No kidding.
Best regards,
Howard Stephen Serlick
