Just for the record in NC I pay $585 per yar for the ST.  The rate had
been set largely by the state until this past year and varies less than
$100 per year by providers I have priced.  I am 40 with no tickets or
accidents.  A ticket for >10 mph over raises the rate 45% on the
policy.  With 2 other bikes on the policy this can get very expenive. 
an accident with >$1000 damage does the same.
