RE: [ST] new problem with sons new ST

Did your son ever turn the bike off using the kill switch instead of the
key? I can't quite tell from your message. Apparently the computer requires
a period of some seconds to go through diagnostics or something when
shutting down. If you use the kill switch to turn off the bike it
immediately cuts power to the computer and it does not get the opportunity
to cycle down. This can lead to poor engine performance on starting the bike
back up.

If this is the case, the fix is fairly simple. Turn on the bike. Start it
up. Turn it off using the key to allow it time to cycle down. The next time
it starts up, it should run ok. I ran into similar problems with mine from
using the kill switch. I've since ceased to use it, and have not had the
problem repeat.

Hope this is all it is.
