 I used the plastic rivets and a bead of black sillicone between the fender
and extension. It's all holding fine, but then I only managed to put 1,200
miles on the extension before putting away for the Winter.

Also, if I remember correctly, I did not need a pop rivet gun to set the
rivets, just used two sets of pliers, one to hold the body and the other to
pull the shaft.
