RE: [ST] quick connect valves



It depends on grounding. If every part in the system is at the same
potential (as in a car fuel line), you're fine. But if you have a metal part
that's insulated on both sides( Plastic Tank on one side and a Rubber Hose
on the other) it could be a large problem. I work in an Automotive Paint
shop and we've had fires start from an ungrounded container holding a static
charge and then arcing. Without taking the side panel off my bike, I'm not
sure how the fuel line connection plate is setup. I assume it would have to
be grounded to the rest of the bike somehow.

Jeez!  Someone should have told GM, Ford, and Chrysler about 75 years ago
about this!  Every car I've owned has had steel lines and fittings.
