Sorry, but one last thing about SPAM..

If you use a dedicated email address to receive list emails, just configure 
sendmail to throw away everything to that address unless it contains 
ST@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx in the header. You can also check for [ST] in the subject 
line.

We use sendmail systems at work, and although I couldn't tell you exactly 
how to set this up, I know it can be done.

Even hotmail offers this type of functionality through their 'advanced' 
filters..
