[ST] RS not turning over

'00 RS: turn key, hit starter switch, get only a single click from the relay - the second from the front on the right side of the bike, under the seat, just outboard of the rear subframe. Brand new battery, everything else works.  Put in a new relay, same thing happens.  Any ideas, other than hauling the bike out to the dealer?
