Bare,
I know exactly what you are saying, really gets exciting when you are in the
midst of a bunch of fellow riders on a steep hill, lose power or traction
and drift back just enough to turn the engine over in reverse. -- on the
throttle and the acceleration in reverse is helped even more by gravity.
Really scatters any riders behind you as you pass them going backwards down
a hill you weren't even sure you wanted to try going up!!
Glad the ST doesn't exhibit that trait..

> Actually, yes! A 4 stroke won't because of the cam timing, but a two
stroke will. I had a Bultaco that would backfire occasionally and start
running backwards, Twas a bit of a shock when you let out the clutch and
started going the wrong way! <snip>.
