Re: [ST] ST bars on an RS....need some help!!!

Although this post generated a lot of replies nobody
seems to have answered Bryce's question!

I can help a bit. I have a 2000 RS from new (we've
just celebrated our 3rd aniversary together, aaah),
and almost the first thing I did was fit ST bars.

It's not quite a straight swap.

The bars themselves fit right into place beautifully
enough, and are about 1" higher and 1" further back
than the RS items.

The controls don't however fit the new bars perfectly.
The RS switches have little locating pegs inside which
don't match the little holes in the ST bars.

I just rubbed the pegs off with a small file (they're
plastic). The neg side to this is that the switches
can slide around the bars a bit, but the pos is that
you can put the switches and levers precisely at the
angle you want them and find comfiest.

Can't help on the Genmars, although I'm pretty sure
sure someone somewhen said they do fit, just.
