RE: [ST] Getting the shaft (why not belt?)

I have heard (don't remember who, where, or when) that in some applications
belts are prone to breakage.

I had also heard of the aborted Sprint-ST-gone-belt-drive experiment, and
seem to remember it having something to do with breakage.
