I paid extra and put the heavyweight one on my 01 ST.
I noticed a slight decrease in handlebar vibration.
The vibration wasn't bad to begin with but then of course
my ST is BRG and not one of those vibratory Red models ;-)

p.s. Use some locktight on the attachment screws to keep them
from loosening up...
