[ST] Question on gearing
>>I decided to put a smaller front sprocket on the RS, as I'm
Many of you have changed your front sprockets and I think
some of you are running 17. What is the general opinion on
this? How is long distance touring affected by the 17/19
difference? Should I send the 17 back and get an 18, or try
out the 17? 17 is a big drop from 19, percentage-wise, so
>>I'm unsure what to do at this point.
I've been running a 17 front sprocket for some time, there's not a lot of difference
to standard except you'll find you use 6th gear a lot more! Added benefit is
it makes it sparkle even more in the twisties, I gave a fellow on a SP2 a shock
when he tried (note TRIED) to keep up! Don't get it if you're going to do a
lot of slab work, or if you don't intend to cane it, it'd be a waste of time.
