[ST] for Capt. Howard - ST bars

 >>> Strikes me if you modify your bike to be more
like an ST, then you are going to have the seating
position closer to that of the ST. The RS fairing
won't do much good for you now that you're in a
more upright position....it's narrower and lower
than that of the ST. Seems that you'll be making
mods so your bike will be more like an ST. Why not
ride the ST and get all the benefits that come
with it? <<<

    Many of us who live in warm climates were disappointed when
Triumph transformed the Sprint into a full-faired bike in '99.
It's unbearably hot on the legs in summer. They rectified the
problem in 2000 with the RS but made it too uncomfortable for
long trips. Many RS owners have fixed this with ST bars - some
(including me) with GenMar risers - and sport touring screens.
Heated grips for winter, centerstands and GIVI bags help also.
The RS, with it's two-sided swingarm and greater flickability,
handles appreciably better and more effortlessly than the ST.

                                       Have fun;
