RE: [ST] Install new fuel sender



I can't find a reference to replacing the fuel sender itself in the Triumph
manual.  However, it does say to tighten the screws to 5nm in one place and
6nm in another place.  This is such a small torque figure, I would NOT trust
my torque wrench to this task.  Simply tighten the screws by hand evenly and
in a crossing pattern.  If you strip one of these, you will likely end up
buying a new gas tank.

Replace the gasket with a new one, making sure it does not get pinched.  It
does not need any sealer.

There was a recall on leaking senders a few years back.  Hope you
didn't have to pay for yours.  It's been a while since I changed
one but I don't recall having to use any sealant.  IIRC, the
bolts torque to 10mn  [7ft/lbs.]  Can someone confirm?
