RE: [ST] engine lite

The two lines that go straight down both go to air. One is the overflow
line and the one closest to the front of the bike contains the rollover
valve and returns air to the tank as you use gas. The check valve should be
installed so it allows air into the tank, but does not allow gas to flow
down the line. The vacuum line is routed correctly.

The check engine light will come on after a service such as you did. It
will go out after three heat cycles of the engine. If it doesn't go out,
there may be a stored code and you would need a dealer to see what it is.

Subject: [ST] engine lite

I had the valves re-adjusted and now find that after putting it back
together
I have the engine managment lite on? Could it be that I connected the vacume
lines incorrectly? There are two connections that point straight down one is
vented to air (the one that would be for overflow at the filler neck) the
other I have connected to the cross over to the cananister. One vacume line
goes into the air box and connects to the horizonal connector on the tank.
Is this correct? Also is there a way I can reset the em lite? Or am I stuck
with taking it back to the shop?
