On a related note, I did, in fact, call Triumph.  I spoke with a very nice
guy, Peter Carleo, who began the conversation by telling me that Triumph
cannot sanction the use of aftermarket parts due to liability issues, etc.
He wouldn't come right out and say that Triumph is aware of a specific
problem with the quick connects, either.  I asked about my out of pocket
expenses, and he offered to send me something of equal value as
compensation.  Pretty prompt response, maybe not exactly what I was looking
for, but at least he called me back.
