[ST] 6000 Mile Service - Anyone bother?

I'm due for my 6000 mile service (6400 on the clock). I looked at the maintenance chart in the owners manual and it appears to be almost identical to the 500 mile service. Nothing of import is actually serviced (just "checked") aside from the oil change.

This means I'd pay nearly $200 for an oil change and someone to check that various bits are still tight. 

I'm doing my own oil changes every 3K, so it's due, but I'd rather pay $60 for oil/filter and spend a few hours wrenching in my garage than $200 for a mechanic to do it.

Thoughts?
