Re: [ST] Closing Triumph Dealers



Hi there Al and Sters

Just a short note to tell you all what I heard here in Bakersfield, Ca.  Our
Kawasaki dealer took on Triumph a few years back.  He didnt seem really
dialed in to selling them.. Seemed like he loved the Kaws and kinda ignored
the Triumphs.  Nevertheless-he told me that the Triumph rep (months ago now,
about Jan 03) told him he must purchase 60 bikes of the current year by May,
and another 60 units in October (of the new models).  He didnt have any idea
how to sell the first 60 bikes, let alone the next 60, so he dropped
Triumph.  I dont think he moves 60 Kaws in the whole year-but I dont know.
Funny-huh?
