A silly point, but are the tyres on the right way round?

Did not check on my Trophy one tyre change and it was the symptoms you have.

Good points, all.  In response:

 1. I don't think it's head bearing pre-load or suspension set as it
happened exactly the day I replaced both tires.  I took an Autobahn trip
North on I-75 that day so I got to feel it firsthand at max speed minus 3mph
that day.  (BTW, I haven't touched the suspension since day one.  My weight
is ~200 lbs (don't know how many stones that is, probably a fair number).

 2. It's exactly the same symptoms that as the big backwash one gets when
passing a semi-trailer.  Great comparison.  Much better comparison than the
description I provided.

 3. I appreciate the post that says this is not normal for 020's  That is
something I really hoped to hear.

 4. Thanks for the thoughts.  I'll try to get by the local dealer tomorrow
and put the question to them.  I'll also ask another parts store in town,
who's opinion I really respect.

I'll make one other note about the 020's but will do it by forwarding an
email I sent to the local KRATs.  Maybe the collective knowledge of the
larger ST group will shed some light on another 020 question I have.
