Hate to say this Garry, but save yourself the trouble and the consternation. 
  Take the panels off and have them professionally repainted.  I've phukked 
around with those ~paint kits~ for years, most recently on my Trophy 1200, 
my Black ST and my Red ST (please don't ask ~why~) and the results are 
ALWAYS disappointing.  Looks like shit, quite frankly.  The only thing those 
touch up kits are good for is ~really minor~ touchups, like little pebble 
dings and such.  Bite the bullet and have it done right.
