RE: [ST] iron butt

The "Iron Butt Rally" and the "Iron Butt" certification are two separate
things. The Certification can be done by anyone, anywhere. The "Saddle
Sore" certification (different from the "Iron Butt" certification) is 1500
miles in 36 hours (there is also a Gold "Saddle Sore" where you cover the
1500 miles in 24 hours.

Actually, the "Iron Butt" is a by-invitation rally put on every two years by
the Iron Butt Association that covers 11,000 miles over 11 days and hits
all four corners of the USA. A "Saddle Sore 1000" is one of many rides
certified by the IBA, requiring riding 1000 miles in a 24 hour period.
Details are available on their website.
