I have never heard of such a thing, from my exp... and
there is some, a ranger would have to ID himself as an
officer would. Chances are he was full of shyt. I have
never ever seen a park ranger in a non-green non-4x4
that I can recall.
On the other hand, from my exp....again there is some,
Park rangers to have a good bit of authority inside
the parks. Outside the parks Im not sure. Your word
against that of a park ranger would probably land you
in jail and your bike in impound. This guy was likely
a goody goody snooty city boy that didnt care for your
style of fun. I, on the other hand, applaud you for
having a great ride and not going to jail. Those roads
really do tempt the throttle hand.
On another note, I apologize for my ignorance on the
Iron Butt definition. I did not realize it was an
actual organization. I have heard it used loosely
until now. I have heard BMW guys talk about it.
