The steel quick disconnects aren't Triumph parts, they are from after market
sources:

Triumph is not offering any advice/ help/ fix on this issue- the bikes are
still being built with the plastic QD's....and I'm sure you can find a
better, "more complete" up- skirt view than a motorcycle!!
