I've read that you are supposed to support yourself using your stomach and back muscles, not your wrists, when riding a sport bike (or something with sporty ergos). It takes a while to build them so that they do the work, not your wrists/elbows/arms.

When I first got my RS, I would get a sore left elbow and wrist aches on rides over 2 hours. After a month or two (several thousand sporty miles), it's never an issue. I'm comfortable for long rides (aside from butt burn).
