[ST] Communications??

I apologize if you all get this message twice, but I tried to post this
question today and still have not seen it hit the list. Any I want to shop
online damnit!!

Ok, I think it may be time to break down and get some form of bike to bike
communication. I wear the custom fit ear plugs, and my first concern with
most of the helmet speakers is the volume, or possibly the lack of.

For those on the list that currently have commnunication equipment, what is
the best in your opinion and what should I look for? Do you use CB or FRS
radios? I see the J&M CB is a nice unit, but first of all they are MUCHO $$
and secondly there is no room on our bars to mount the damn thing.

I was thinking of using my personal Motorola FRS radios but not sure what to
plug them into.

I found the site for Klein Electronics, (RocketQuality and HeadsetUSA
websites) but not sure if their headsets are good pieces of equipment and if
they are audible through road noise and ear plugs.

I know that some of the custom ear plug people make custom ear molded ear
plugs with small speakers in them. They seem to be a few bucks, but they
appear to be speakers only, not sure what you do for a microphone in this
case.

I GREATLY appreciate any and all feedback. This is something I would rather
have input on then my own trial and error.. =)

Derek
