RE: [ST] Chains

Just to note, I replaced my rear sprocket with a 45-tooth steel from
SprocketSpecialists, and it slipped right on - everything lined up - easy.
Just figured I'd let everyone know that it isn't everyone's experience...

George,

I also replaced my original (Regina) chain at about the same mileage. Let me
warn you what I found when I replaced the replacement at about 36,000....the
front sprocket was so far worn that it really should have been replaced
right along with the chain 1st time around. I never bothered to pull the
plastic cover off to find out until it was (potentially) too late. No small
wonder since the front rotates about 2.2 times for every revolution of the
rear. It was pretty scary to see just how thin the front one had become! The
rear showed only minor wear, by comparison.
