Dave,
I've done the valve adjustment 3 times now, and am still on the original
gasket. The only place you are instructed to use RTV gasket sealer is the
half-moon sections that cover up the cam bores in the head. Take care to
replace the magnesium cover, it is delicate. The threads for the coil tops
are very easily stripped from over-tightening them.
