[ST] RS Decals

Hi all, 

My husband is considering trading his Monster for a 2001 Sprint RS. His 
question is, are the big RS decals on the sides of the fairing clear painted on the 
bike (like my ST's) or can they be peeled off? Has anyone had luck removing 
them?
