Re: [ST] RS problems....update

Thanks to all for their help and advice....

The bike is now at the dealer being worked on, and the service manager just called me....the problem, it seems , is leaky boots that seal between the injector bodies and the head. Odd how it took loading a new tune to really aggravate the problem....it was starting to backfire and cough occasionally though...The nuetral switch was also defective, causing a small oil leak. All will be repaired under warranty.

But lets see....defective injector boots, defective neutral switch, grossly improperly adjusted steering head bearing....thats alot of problems to have in the first 4000 miles , no ? I hope this isnt a indicator of things to come. I did once hear that " The Triumphs are great bikes but they usually have a few bugs to work out when you first get them, then they are fine"....Man, I hope thats true.

Thanks all,

John
