Agreed! However, I haven't found an inexpensive, diesel-spec 10W-40 synthetic locally available. (Demanding b*stard, aren't I? :-)
BTW, 5W-40 has the same viscosity range as 15W-50, so I'm assuming that the viscosity modifiers are similar between the two. Is that a bad assumption?
