[ST] RE: Longevity

Rupert,

'00 Sprint ST Red,  purchased March '00 with 0 miles.
    Plastic cooling fan committed suicide mid-summer '01-replaced under
warranty
    bike was otherwise wonderful until totalled Sept '01 at 40,000+ miles.
    Other problems related only to dealer errors so am not listing

'01 Sprint ST BRG, purchased Sept '01 with 14 miles
    Front turn signal covers fell off- replaced under warranty
    Leaky fork seals within 5000 miles- replaced under warranty
    Warped rotor-replaced under warranty
    Warped rotor again-not replaced under warranty, 1 week out of warranty
    Pannier emblem fell off-within warranty period, but not cov'd under
warranty
    Used a bit of oil on a long trip this year, but has been okay since.
    Currently has 42,423 miles.
