Re: [ST] re: Fuel fitting recall



  I have to agree with Andy.  When the quick connects failed at 300 miles on
my Speed Triple, I replaced the two tank- end fittings with the steel ones
from EZ Flow, because my dealer (the now defunct Indian/ Triumph dealer in
Springfield, MA) knew next to nothing about Triumphs.  I called Peter
because I spent 45.00 and my own time to replace the fittings, and felt that
this should have been a warranty claim.  At that time (May '03) Triumph was
not recognizing the problem, so Peter did sort of dance around the issue-
but he did send me the Triumph hub cover set as compensation for my
expenses.  While those didn't work as fuel connects, they look pretty nice
on the rear wheel.....
