Yes, your Triumph dealer.  Someone is hosing you or can't read the prices correctly.  Valve shims shouldn't be more than $8.00 each with tax (in the US), which still seems a bit high, but certainly better than $26.00 each.

All right now I know that I'm not the only one out there that does all my own maintenance. I almost choked when I was informed that the purchase price for valve shims for my '03 ST are......$26 EACH. Anyone out there know of a much more economical source?
I also own a '95 1200 trophy ('01 and earlier ST's use the same ones) and have a fairly economical source for those shims, I can get 4 of the same size for$12.
