You also are getting hosed by your dealer.  Unless those shims are
destroyed, they are reusable.  I know folks who swap and trade shims with
their local dealer service center.  If they are shim under bucket they arn't
a wear item, as I understand it.  Even if they are shim over bucket, they
don't really get worn down.  Come to think of it, of the half dozen or so
re-shimmed valves I've had between my '99 and my '02 in 90k miles, I have
never been charged for a shim by my dealer who did all the valve
adjustments.
