[ST] Coolant replacemant on 2000 ST

I have a triumph manual that says after draining the old coolant you
refill through the normal radiator cap opening and then siphon from the
cylinder side of the engine to the bleeder screw.
 
What does this mean and how do you get into the cylinder side of the
engine?  Has anybody come up with an easy way to replace the antifreeze?
