Re: [ST] Out of fuel...now, 'engine' light.

This requires some magic and some faith. Get a piece of black electrical
tape and put it over the offending light. After you have ridden on three
separate occasions remove the tape and the light will have been
extinguished.

Now you're asking, "How does THAT work?" It is a combination of two of
the properties of black electrical tape. First off, electrical tape
sticks to electrons the same way that scotch tape sticks to bottles of
whiskey and audio tape adheres to sound. The electrons that have amassed
in the light bulb will be attracted to the sticky side of the tape.
Secondly, black tape absorbs light. This will take care of the photons
that the electrons abandon on their exodus to the sticky side. Using
white (or any color but black) electrical tape will only make the
problem last longer. Using black duct tape will make the problem worse.
The duct nature of the tape will act as a funnel for stray electrons
coming from external sources. Do not use scotch tape this will only draw
unwanted attention should you be pulled over by a cop. Do not use audio
tape, this will cause the bike to start making funny noises. You must
leave the tape on for three hot-cold cycles of the engine. The first one
takes care of all the weaker electrons and photons. Most of the
survivors are picked up in the second cycle. But it is the third cycle
that removes the strongest electrons and photons which are the ones most
likely to reproduce once the tape is removed.
